Thanks for the advice Mary, I'm making a note for when I visit.

Can a landscape image get any better than this. I think NOT! I've always wanted to visit Babcock to shoot this, but now I won't because I could never top this. Just kidding... I'll go some day but this image is the best that I've ever seen of Glade Creek Mill.

Mary Almond replied:

Thanks Wayne, best time to visit Babcock for the Autumn colors around mid October. The best time to capture is early morning....around 7 - 8 am. Its easier to get the reflection, and you aren't fighting the sun.

Hi Mary, wow this is beautiful! Is this a WV photo? My family had a cabin in Ft. Seybert, WV. It is so beautiful up there. The mountains, creeks, and wildlife are so inspiring. Unfortunately, I never painted any of the breathtaking scenery when we owned the cabin. I sure wish I had now. Your photos will to be my inspiration. Thank you for sharing these wonderful expressions of our beautiful state. Also, I would like to thank you for your very kind thoughts my paintings of the water garden series. Keep up the wonderful photos of Wild and Wonderful WV, so others can see its beauty too.

Mary Almond replied:

This is the mill at Babcock State Park.....about a two hour drive from Huntington. I would love to see a version of the mill painted by you......You have such an eye for color, I know it would be unique, and beautiful.
